Sorrow for Joy.

February 28th, 2008 by Give Grace No Comments »

It is with much sorrow that we tell each of you that our dear Timothy passed away last week due to a Grand Mal Seizure. Timothy was a happy 3 year old boy who lived in The House of Peace at Shepherd’s Field. Despite his cerebral palsy he always wore his smile. We would like to thank those of you that help make it possible for us to sponsor sweet children like Timothy at the PHF in China. So we trade our sorrow for joy as we cling to hope in knowing that Timothy is now at home with the Lord.

On a lighter note, the guys are back from Uganda safely and refreshed. We will be posting video footage and pictures from their journey. Meanwhile, let me just encourage your anticipation because there is much joy to be had in seeing their Uganda media - it is beautiful!

Check back soon for information on our new PHF sponsorship and Uganda media. I, along with the staff of Grace Campus, would also like to sincerely thank you for your support of Give Grace. It is because of you that we are able to give children like Timothy a more comfortable life. Please do not lose heart and vision of what He is doing through this ministry. Great things have been done and yet greater things are still to come. Thank you!

As some of you know Matt, John, and Jason are in Uganda meeting our kids that we sponsor and also scouting out things for the upcoming trip this May.  I found a glimpse of glory this morning as I opened my email to find this picture. I eager await to hear about their travels and what He is doing over there. Please check back at the end of next week for more photos and updates from their journey.

Also, Biscuet left yesterday for China. He is in L.A. right now for last minute paper work/prep and will be flying to China Friday evening. Please pray that he will have safe travels and smooth adjustments as he settles into a new place.  You can keep up-to-date with him through biscuet.com.  We heard about the Global Church at Encounter a few weeks ago and the challenge was for listeners to actively play their part in that.  In response to the challenge we are seeing hearts being stirred for the nations. If you are interested in being a part of global work check gracecampus.net or the resource table at Encounter for more information on our summer trips. Sign-ups are going on now.
